（汉）乐府诗集
青青园中葵，朝露待日晞。
阳春布德泽，万物生光辉。
常恐秋节至，焜黄华叶衰。
百川东到海，何时复西归？
少壮不努力，老大徒伤悲。
1.A Classical Ballad
Green 'n green helianthus grows in the garden
Morning dews are waiting for the Sun to glisten
Spring sprays over the Earth benevolence
Things in Nature give birth to magnificence
Humans often fear Autumn'd soon arrive
Plants 'n flowers would then no more thrive
Rivers surge towards the seas of the east
When would they ever return to the west
When young 'n strong, you idle and exert no pain
When old 'n slow, you'd lament over the past in vain
2.A Ballad
The green, green mallows in the garden grow
With morning dew glistening in morning glow.
The sunny spring showers her bountiful grace,
Making everything wear a radiant face.
Yet I fear the autumn will come some day:
The world looks withered when all flowers decay.
Would rivers eastbound ever flow back west,
Or time, once gone, return for whom so blessed?
Alas, if one idles his youth away,
He’ll regret in vain when his hair turns grey.
3. A Ballad
Lush are the plants in the garden of mine,
The morning dew awaits the sun to shine.
Spring nurtures the earth with rain and light,
All things are thriving, vibrant and bright.
The arrival of autumn sets me sighing,
Leaves turn yellow and the grass is dying.
Eastward to the sea all the rivers flow,
Back to the west never could they go.
Once the prime years are idled away,
Deep regret is the price one has to pay.
