The Red Leaf That's Lovesick
By Yilu yangguang （Inner Mongolia)
Tr. Jinghao (UK)
On a rainy night in southern China,
My thousands of thoughts are vague,
Like the vines round the old house.
The rain flows down the eaves as
I'm wandering along the lane covered with blue slates,
Letting the cold rain and sharp wind
Knock on my heart.
In this dim light
One would be so lonely and cold, and even
The cricket feels cold at the wall corner, who can't help -
Singing sadly.
The wind comes from the far north.
In the autumn wind,
The red leaves, one by one,
Falling and fluttering,
Shows the never-ending missing.
The red leaves, full of lovesickness, shroud all the sadness.
Shooting Stars
By A ray of sunshine (Inner Mongolia)
Tr. Jinghao (UK)
Remnant stars on a cold frosty night
Tiny pieces of sorrow
Alone, I wander
Staring at the night sky, knowing nothing
Countless desolation surging
A shooting star passing by like
A small boat sailing through the wind and waves
It is gorgeous and bright
Better than a ray of spring
Even though it is short-lived
It illuminates my heart
Immediately l'm clean and dry
And in the vast night sky
Only you are shining
Who is watching you
A shooting star falling
The light of such a short life
I make a silent wish
To accompany humanity
To the end of the world
Tacit Understanding
By A Ray of Sunshine (Inner Mongolia)
Tr.Jinghao (UK)
I can’t forget that
It was in a rainy season
When you and I met, we both liked writing
We looked at each other on the screen and
Made a promise for the hope for a lifetime
Writing and talking about poems was the only thing for us
So now we had our four seasons together
We accompanied with the windy, moonlit autumn nights
When the dusk had gone, my heart was lonely
The rain continued to rain as I wrote of my sadness
Tears were falling down in front of the pavilion windows
Standing in front of which, I felt down and out.
Accompanying in dancing snow and blooming plum flowers
We enjoyed four seasons, fragrant and rich with
The scent in my dreams and first awakenings of love
I crushed the verse I read when I was missing you
I just wanted to write for you in all the four seasons
Describing the flowery encounters in fleeting years
Regardless of the four seasons and rebirth
I fell in love and became desperately lovesick
To interpret the meaning of true love
I would stay at your side all the time.
This love is becoming more and more precious
It's not normal love but so refreshing
It is not family affection but suffocating
Let it be like this — always!
The Warmth on My fingertips
By A Ray of Sunshine (Inner Mongolia)
Tr. Jinghao (UK)
A light fragrance expressed
In gentle words
Perfumes quietly
Holding the hands of time
In my heart
It precipitates into the loving warmth
On a cold day
There is a ray of sunshine to warm my heart
In the distance
There may be some affection following silently
In my mind
There is still a sweet and warm call:
If you’re fine, it’s a sunny day.
Long, long is the road
The deep affection
Cannot cut off my eye’s looking at the horizon
A piece of paper with words
Cannot describe the obsession of the hope in my heart
Hand in hand with words
We go along all the way
I would like to use the warmth of my fingertips
To write romance of poetic lines
And send a ray of warm wishes to the other shore
The End of the World
By A Ray of Sunshine (Inner Mongolia)
Tr. Jinghao (UK)
The spring breeze blowing
The rain falling
The ice melting
The homesick field is like boiling oil
Where I sow the seeds of love
Wind rolling up the bead curtains, the blurry flowers show
Lingering in my mind
Is the purple street, where I look for fragrance everlasting
Reading the love letters alone, I'm still in love
The rain dropping like wine
The breeze with flowing fragrance
Even drunk for life
I can't express my love-sickness
But my sleeves become looser in my dream
Do you know I'd go to the end of the world
Searching for you
With the spring breeze in my heart
Holding the seeds of love
To rendezvous, fearless of
The sun setting
Special Gifts
By A Ray of Sunshine (Inner Mongolia)
Tr. Jinghao (UK)
March 8th Festival is coming again
On this beautiful day
I will pluck a white cloud from the sky in spring
Above the grassland and give it to you as a white Hada
To bring you good luck
I will pluck a star from the sky and give it to you as a sky lantern
Lighting up your life
I will grasp a blue wave from the South China Sea and send to you as a pool of nectar
To wash away your tiredness and dust
Although I am small but cherish a deep love
Although I am ordinary but sincere
On this special day
I send a special gift
To the special you
No rose fragrance
Nor the sparkle of jewels
Nor breath-taking words...
Just in this way
I silently accompany you and love you
Just in this way
I hold your hand and experience the ups and downs of our life.
On this special day
I send a special gift
To the special you!
