离离原上草，一岁一枯荣。
野火烧不尽，春风吹又生。
远芳侵古道，晴翠接荒城。
又送王孙去，萋萋满别情。

01.Grass on the ancient plain
Lush and exuberant are the grasses on the plain,
Where they shrivel and thrive every year again.
Never and ever, the wild fire can’t burn them out,
When vernal breeze kisses, the new ones sprout.
Along the ancient road, their fragrance trails down,
And in glossy green, they spread to the ruined town.
O, my dear friend, when we meet once more to say adieu,
Luxuriant green deepens my reluctance to part with you.
02.On the Old Weed Plain Bid Farewell to My friend
Lush weeds overgrow the boundless plain,
They die yearly but thrive in spring rain.
The wild fire tries to devour the weeds,
But they revive more by the spring breeze.
Alas, the old path fills with sweet air,
The green seems to charm the ruined town’s stare.
Again to see off my friend today,
I feel my mood vexed with deep dismay.
03.A Farewell in the Plain
How luxuriant is the grass on the plain!
Year by year it waxes and wanes.
Wildfire burns it down in vain,
As with the spring breeze’s caress, it thrives again.
The fragrant grass stretches to the ancient ways,
So in brilliant sunshine, the deserted city comes alive.
Today I bid farewell to my bosom friend who is going far away，
Even the luxuriant grass wants to wipe my tears away.
04.Ode to Wild Grass
O, wild grass, how lush thou art!
Perish and prosper year in and year out.
Wildfires would not burn thee away,
For only a wisp of soft spring breeze makes thee glow.
Before the old path, and beyond the waste village,
Remain fragrance and luxuriance of thee.
Parting with my old pal again,
Only thou my dear could feel my pain.
