Diversifolious Poplars Guard the Desert for Three Thousands of Years
Author Betty (China)
English translation Zhong Quan (US)
The vast and boundless desert
Is far away and desolate
Only diversifolious poplars
Dare to face up to the sky and the earth
Fighting for three thousand years of athanasy and immortality
In the sacred solemnity of life
Standing in a stalwart style
Standing proudly in the vast desert
Standing upright and guarding
Smiling and watching the wind go up and down
With the sun and the moon
Diversifolious poplars suffers wind and sand lonely for thousands of years
When the windstorm rages, it throws the sand in all directions
Smashing diversifolious poplars violently
Diversifolious poplars fight against the wind and sand
Struggling indomitably, growing indomitably
When the scorching sun burns the earth
Diversifolious poplars are still vigorous in the dry desert
Crying out with the wind and sand
Burning with the sun
In the boundlessness of the desert
Swaying and striking
Swaying in tears of intoxication
Striking the brilliant light of life
In desolation and stirring sadness
Diversifolious poplars hold on solitarily, guarding
Its dream and its life
Fearless and magnificent
Diversifolious poplars strive constantly for improvement, full of strength
Your suffering has made you perseverant
Your regretless dedication has made you brilliant
The years of wind and frost have created your pride
Experiencing the vicissitudes of life, you straighten your spine
Every time the wind and sand pass, you leave behind your immortal poems
Diversifolious poplars, the immortal Holy Spirit
Fight bravely in the desert and grow tenaciously
Blooming in the solitary smoke of the desert
Diversifolious poplars, you can live for a thousand years
Tenacious of life, you compose golden brilliance
Diversifolious poplars, you stand upright for a thousand years after death
Guarding the Gobi Desert with your upright bodies
Diversifolious poplars, you are immortal for a thousand years even after you fall down
Your immortal branches composing the music of life
