To Meet Someone I Miss Very Much
By Yang Huiliang (China)
Tr. Gerry Spoors (UK)
I don't know how far the distance is
But I know how much I miss you
Embark on a journey
I embarked on a long journey
Without thinking
Enduring so much miserable wind and rain on the way
Since I made the decision, I just went ahead
Regardless of all the difficulties
Open a window
The sun is beautiful and
The wind is very light
My eyes are placid like gentle lake water as I’m
Full of thoughts of missing you
Can you see me?
The long whistle
It's my urgent call to you and
The sound of the clanging wheels is
My thumping heartbeat
Through thousands of mountains and rivers
Going through the vast sea of humanity
I am coming to you
Just for the beautiful encounter
That once again we can have
You are my only scenery
I am your eternally dream
To achieve this
I have made my wish in front of the Buddha
Willing to use the fate of this life
In exchange for a debt of three lives
Allow me to save every calamity by your side
I am coming
Will you still wait for me in the old place?
