Hong Kong Nocturne
By Baiman (Hong Kong, China)
Tr.Jinghao (UK)
Ten thousand beautiful dreams have not faded
Lan Kwai Fong Central is as before
In the magnificent story of the red wine
Flows the heartbeat melody
The curry world on Rock Road is the most important flavor of music.
Business sky-scrapers, under flashing neon lights
The luminous signs at the zenith of HSBC and Bank of China shine brightly
Climbing to the top of Victoria Peak, we overlook both sides of Victoria Harbour
The beautiful scenes of the whole city, suspected to be like the Milky Way, rushing here
Look! Pearl of the Orient reveals to us the splendour of the world
Tease Governor of Nathan on Nathan Road,
Who couldn't even have dreamed of today's dreamlike avenues
The red sailboat is hidden in the legendary depths of Victoria Harbour
Hong Kong Nocturne, Hong Kong Nocturne, Hong Kong Nocturne,
Is many years old—many years old, yet still intoxicating
The ballads in Queen's Road have been sung throughout half the world
