Spring is you
--To Dr. Zhu Yanze
By Blossoming Traces (China)
Tr. Gerry Spoors (UK)
I walk over with a big smile
Listening to the flying magpies singing
Bringing warm messages
The bright red lanterns dance
In the spring breeze of February
Fresh raindrops fall opened
Sprouting forth with spring secrets
Going over bravely
On the journey of the four seasons
Or enduring the hardships of starting a business
Or going through any haze or confusion
Or overcoming obstacles
Who
Constructs the impregnable fortresses of life?
It is none other than you
Walking gently, but confidently
Step by step
One by one the clouds pass by
Revealing the moonlight which gets brighter
The breath of flowers
The scent of violets
And the gurgling stream
……
Spring is you
