To the Tune of Que Qiao Xian.
Thin Clouds Change with Many a Kind
By QIN Guan (Song Dynasty)
Tr. JOHN ZHAO Yizhong
Clouds change with many a smart kind;
Meteors shoot with grief in mind.
Cowherd crossed the Milky Way on the slay，
Meeting th' Weaver on Double Seven Day.
This surpasses all worldly lovers mae.
Their soft love's like water of stream;
This happy date seems as a dream.
They can't bear to watch th' magpie bridge back way;
Just love fain tween two sides can last for aye.
Why need they live together night and day?
