Four chants of Winter Clothes Festival
Author: Wang Ruiyi
Reciter: Yilan
English Translation: Yin Xing (USA)
(1) Love Debt
Author: Wang Ruiyi
Looking at the moon on the balcony and crying with tears,
I keep wiping my tears with my sleeves,
Eight years,
It's like a dream...
My spouse has left me,
I am left alone in this world, missing you in the underworld.
Countless times the tears turned into a thousand-character poem under the lamp, and countless times the strings of lovesickness were played till broken under the moonlight.
Ask my dear, why don't you pity me?
Have you forgotten that you have vowed to accompany me throughout my life?
(2) Remember You
Author: Wang Ruiyi
Ancient road with weeds
Your clear footprints,
Hard to find anymore.
The feeling of lovesickness floats in the wind,
Scattered all over the floor.
Plum blossoms are fragrant,
Frequently covering my memory,
Fallen leaves are flying in a trance,
Dull pen and ink
I cannot describe how comfortable I felt back then.
Pick up the pieces of red fallen leaves,
Pin them quietly on my hair .
Middle -aged lady,
Still handsome and beautiful.
Sorry, sorry!
The ridicule in the past,
What shakes off the chest are tears!
(3) Winter Clothes Festival
Author: Wang Ruiyi
I think of you in Winter Clothes Festival every year,
The past flashes before my eyes,
I hate you for leaving your children's mother,
Eight years of hardship,
Nowhere to speak of desolation and sadness.
Leave the study room,
Go to the wilderness,
Husband and wife for more than thirty years,
Now we are on two sides of heaven and earth,
Very sad,
Extremely hurt.
Weeds on the earthen grave,
Please taste the memorial fruits.
Heartbroken,
Tears flow,
Children bowed their knees at the grave,
Yin and Yang are vast distances apart.
(4) October 1 of the Lunar Calendar
Author: Wang Ruiyi
A day to send money to the deceased
Mother was ninety years old
Gone
People eventually leave
Because life has a beginning and an end
If one doesn’t leave, the earth cannot fit in
Full of children and grandchildren
But
Husband
You shouldn't go
But you are gone
Whenever I come home
Empty house only me alone
One day one month one year
Already eight years
Accustomed to loneliness and longing
But today is October 1st
The children have not forgotten you
Daughter, son, for you
All are here
Noisy people
Without your planning
Without your plan
Have you ever remembered
Big things little things
You let me talk
You say I am the backbone of the family
But when you were here
I felt at ease
With you, I had no worries
But you left
People coming and going Without you
Amidst the noise
Without your voice and gestures
In this deep night
Missing you
Burst into tears
