Wuhan (China) Liquor Culture Museum
PREFACE
China is a country of poetry, but also a country of wine. Wine has a long history, with a variety of famous wines and a wide range of categories, making it famous. Since ancient times in China, the original method of fermenting wine yeast has been invented, and people have started to make a large amount of wine. The accompanying wine culture has permeated the entire 5000 year history of Chinese civilization, shining brightly in various aspects such as literary and artistic creation, cultural entertainment, food and cooking, and health care.
Hubei has been rich in natural resources and rich in cultural heritage since ancient times. The romantic and magnificent Chu culture has nurtured the hospitable and straightforward personality of the Chu people, who make friends and bond with wine. In this land of abundant resources and miraculous civilization, Hubei's liquor culture is even more rich and mellow, with a fragrant Chinese style, exuding tempting charm.
Wuhan (China) Wine Culture Museum, located in Hankou Jinyin Lake National Wetland Reserve, follows the vein of Chinese wine culture, and gathers essence in the new era of Huanghuang. It integrates black pottery wine vessels of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, copper and iron wine vessels of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, wine collections of the Republic of China, the seventeen famous wines of the new China, the fifty three excellent, thirty-six sauce, the eight old ones of Hubei, national wines, and the relics of Jingchu, which is a new enlightenment, She is like a magnificent flower in the forest of Chinese liquor culture, blooming brightly today. As a result, in the vast and profound feast of Chinese liquor culture, Wuhan liquor culture occupies a seat.
During its creation, this unique museum received strong support from relevant departments of Wuhan City, as well as the Dongxihu District Committee and Government; Famous ca lligraphers, painters, and seal carvers such as Zhou Shaohua and Kong Keli have contributed nine artworks to the museum. In the central hall of the museum, they complement and enhance the cultural responsibility of Hubei as a major province for brewing and alcohol consumption.
The rich collection displayed in the viewing hall, especially the historical collections of the eight famous distilleries in Hubei region, as well as the collection process of distilleries and workshops in various cities, states, and counties in Hubei in the 1970s and 1980s, is like returning to those past eras. Some distilleries no longer exist, and some distilleries have changed their names due to the development of the times. However, when we look back at the struggles of the predecessors in the wine industry through the exhibition, Remembering the predecessors who made great contributions to liquor culture can allow us to revisit the glorious history of liquor culture in Hubei and even in China, and contribute to the nourishment of liquor culture.
Let's cross the wine path of history, enter this palace filled with historical charm, immerse ourselves in the aroma of wine that has been lingering for five thousand years, and embark on a spiritual journey of wine culture!
