当我还只是小女孩时 妈妈总是哄我入睡很准时，
为此她开始 为我读起睡前故事。
故事总是事关一位公主 其已身处无助，
然后王子如何将其解救 而故事悉数 以完美落幕。
我则床上躺卧并且思索 未来我想成为什么角色。
有一天我终于懂得 那种童话生活 并非为我而设。
我不想像灰姑娘那么生活 昏暗破旧地下室枯坐，
望眼欲穿盼着 有人或可 前来解救我；
我也不想像白雪公主那么等待着——
等待着 一个英俊王子骑着白马 或可前来拯救我，
除非我们可平起平坐。
不想依附其他任何一个 我宁可 自行救赎自我。
终有一天我将觅得那一个——
我的灵魂我的真心我的思想 他皆认可；
他可毫不畏缩 向世人展露他有多么爱我；
他将可懂得 只有保持自我 我才可感到真正快乐，
不需要任何人去做 呵护我的角色。
我为他挺身而出毫不逊色 恰如他挺身而出为我；
当我交付自我 他则也只得交付自我 平分秋色。
我不想像灰姑娘那么生活 昏暗破旧地下室枯坐，
望眼欲穿盼着 有人或可 前来解救我；

我自己就可斩妖除魔 我自己就可做织梦者，
我自己就可成为护花使者 因此我将可解救自我。

译者简介：
韩崇文，中国翻译协会专家会员，中国诗歌学会会员，辽宁葫芦岛市作家协会会员、市文艺理论评论家协会会员、市音乐家协会会员，《中国雨巷有声频道》作家团队成员。正高级职称，硕研学历、本科毕业于复旦大学。
业余从事歌曲翻译与文学翻译，迄今已译介140余首国外经典歌曲与诗歌。译作散见于“好诗如风”“辽之河”“英语口语交流”等微信公众号以及抖音“国外经典歌曲精译”（抖音号:tanxiaojian684），还曾被“英语世界”“商务印书馆英语编辑室”等公众号收录。
朗诵者简介：
李明，供职于某国企。工作之余热爱朗诵演讲，曾在市级及公司比赛中多次荣获一等奖。
