1.The Most Beautiful Month in the World: from March to May
By Wan Wen (China)
Tr. Zhongquan (USA)
The drizzle in March
Comes from the south
Awaken the sleeping spring girl
She gently calls all things
The elves open their eyes and
Release their vitality
The breeze in April
Come from the north
With deep Affection,
She blows the grass into green and the flowers into red
The shadows of flowers under the moonlight are like a dream
It's like Chang'e leaving the moon palace to spy the secrets of the heaven and the earth
March, April and May in the south and the north
The mountains and rivers of the motherland are like brocade
The green waters and green mountains are as beautiful as a painting
The flowers on the earth are better than fairyland
The descendants of Yan and Huang Emperors work hard to create miracles
Our people are rich and our country is strong,
standing in the east of the world
2. Snow in the North and Rain in the South
By Wang Wen (China)
Tr. Zhongquan (USA)
I carry the ticket of the season
And take on a train in the cold of winter
The snowflakes are flying in the northwest wind
The wilderness is wrapped in plain and silver
I'm roaring Qin opera and running towards the south
I'm going to the rainy alley under the patterned umbrella
The folk tunes in the area of South of Yangtze River, it's gentleness couldn't be hidden
But extending the lovesickness of northern man
The coldness of snow and the warmth of rain
Sweat and longing, loneliness and melancholy
I am walking in the snow to look for traces,
holding an umbrella while meditating
The differences between North and South is in my mind
Snow in the north and rain in the south
Our country is so beautiful
There is harmony of love
In each of music note
3.Four Seasons of Clouds
By Wang Wen (China)
Tr . Zhongquan (USA)
In spring
You carry the rain
As soft as a scarf
You tie up northern men with warmth
They sow hope by hard work and sweat
In summer
You come silently and go without a trace
Just like a people's youth
unrestrained and willful
In autumn
You are like a galloping horse, as well
Like the white sheep on the grassland
You bring people the joy of harvest
In winter
Daqin mountains are covered in silver
You are like a painting of landscape
Walking in the snow in searching of plum blossoms
and talking about the Year of the Dragon
4.Xintianyou Travelling Around
By Wang Wen (China)
Tr : Zhongquan (USA)
Looking around with my bright eyes
The stars have moved and people have become old
The memories are soft in my mind
Time is hard to look back
A river of spring water flows eastward
Black hairs turn white
Under the warm sun,
the willow branches fly in the wind
Flowers bloom and whithered
but my heart remains the same
Years are running as flow water in a long river
The bright moon is shining in the sky as a hook
I miss my close friends so much that evokes my nostalgia
I face to the glass of wine where my shadow is reflected
By the wind
I take the boat in the sea
Travelling across the three oceans
and five continents
Who will keep accompany with me all the way
Chasing dreams with Xintianyou
Travelling in east, west, south, and north
Wandering leisurely in the clouds
5. Quiet
By Wang Wen (China)
Tr. Zhongquan (USA)
Leaving the bustling city
I returned to the remote village of Qinling Mountain
It is particularly quiet compared to the city
There is a simple path in front of the door
There are trees and fields
There are grass slopes and streams and
There are honest and simple villagers
It is even quieter at night
The moonlight pours into the courtyard
I hold 300 Tang poems
Looking for the story of my childhood
A breeze blows over
I enjoy the coolness of the summer evening
This boundless silence

8.Late Autumn Is a Poem
By Wang Wen (China)
Tr. Zhongquan (USA)
All year round
Autumn is the most charming season
There are flying golden leaves
Every piece of them is full of poetry
They are telling the story of time
I would like to take use of the wind as pen, leaves as ink,
and the earth as paper
To write hymns of the years
I am all gratitude for the gifts of nature
To interpret the heaviness of life
Walking on the wilderness in late autumn
The slightest breeze ruffles my mind
Wisps of rain moisten my mood
Fallen leaves make my feelings flying
Layers of clouds and Moon are refreshing my soul
We are lingering in gracefulness
Year after year in my life is just like a dream
Falling leaves one by one resemble our life
Late autumn is the most beautiful poem

10. Summer Feelings
By Wang Wen (China)
Tr. Zhongquan (USA)
I stand on the top of Qinling Mountains
Looking at the mountains of Shangzhou and Languan Ancient Road
There is a kiss goodbye of spring and summer
Green mountains are beyond the mountains, Flowers are in full bloom
Green forests over the mountains are
Formed by the wind blowing from the north
To open the title page of midsummer
With the dream of harvest, and
I keep the new hopes
Dragonflies skimm the surface of the water and lotus flowers reflect red colour
Accumulating the coolness of summer
in order to recuperate the restless heart
Watching quietly the landscape oasis gallery,
To release energy, poetry and the distance.
11. Recalling Childhood
By Wang Wen (China)
Tr. Zhongquan (USA)
A red scarf
was shinning all over the ragged clothes
and fluttering from morning till night
I sit on a homemade wooden stool
Climbed a long wooden board made of adobe
Carried a colorful schoolbag made of cloth strips
We climbed on trees to steal peaches and sour apricots, and
went down the river to catch fish and loaches, also
Fed injured birds with insects
We climbed up the hills to dig medicine herbs to pay our tuition fees
We accumulated eggs to exchange for pens and paper, as well we
Cut grass to feed pigs and help with housework
The entertainment was very boring at that time, we played rolling iron
hoops or throwing sandbags,
Jumping rope, kicking shuttlecocks and playing spinning tops
We played on stone rafts and swings
Skated and snowboard on the icy river in winter
My childhood was like flowing water will never return
The happiness at that time was quite simple, and
The simplicity at that time was happy
in deed.
12. Father's Back from Behind
By Wang Wen (China)
Tr. Zhongquan (USA)
Wandering in the corridor of time
I'm Looking for my father's back
And the great Qinling Mountains in my childhood
At dusk, The sunset lengthens my father's shadow
With his habits of smoking while walking
My father once
also carried his dream on his shoulders
Worked hard all year round
There were pain and glory were written in his wrinkles
It's my father's hunched back,
Which has been gradually bent
He is staggering in my hometown
dyed by the sunset
I didn't understand the kindness of my parents, when I was young,
I was no longer young,
When I understood it.
13. Autumn in the Qinling Mountains
By Wang Wen (China)
Tr. Zhongquan (USA)
Time flies, cool autumn arrives
Walking in the Qinling Mountains
The sky is blue, autumn clouds are calm
The mountains are gleaming, the water is crystal clear
Sprinkling golden light spreads all over the ground
It's the story of changing seasons
Walk deeply into Qinling Mountains
The colours of autumn are thicker
Green is dark green, yellow is golden yellow
Red is like fire, purple is like clouds
With full of autumn’s abundance
To cross the river of time
leaves of phoenix tree are falling,
Osmanthus is brewed into wine
Let the season of missing be in favour
Let the season of growing be mature
To pick up a red leaf, and
Send the past with the wind
May the years be peaceful and smooth.
