《Looking Back: The Fist Shadow in Wind and Rain》
——To Liu, the Humble Boxer Master
By xuefei
Ninety years, the mountains and rivers crushed under toe tips
Have formed calluses in the palm of the hand
The flame wrapped in plain cloth
Hammers every dawn into a stance
Tears? Long since, together with sweat
Seeped into the stones of Songshan
The wind in Tagou still counts
Those names that soar into the air
In the roar of Shaolin
Lurk the unspoken years of his life
Every word, when it hits the ground
Grows into a new martial world
He is a branch stretched out from Songshan
Catching too many storms
The fragrance of literary ink and the iron filings of martial spirit
Twisted into a rope in flesh and blood
Tying down half a century's sun and moon
And also the clouds of Kunlun
The earth remembers his footprints
As it remembers the weight of every seed
When his heart opens wide
It can hold the entire martial world's dawn and dusk
Now, his name lives in the breath of young boxers
Becoming the clearest shout——
Hey! Hey! Hey!
