A poetic work made during the rainy season at my Wangchun house (Wang Wei of Tang Dynasty)
The fire smoke rises slowly in the empty woods during the rainy season.People are busy cooking food to feed the farmers working in the eastern fields. The egrets are flying over the vast paddy fields. The orioles are singing in the dense summer trees.I am accustomed to the silence in the woods and enjoy looking at the Shrub Althea flowers in the morning.I take light vegetarian meal under the pine trees and pick the courled marrow with dews. Now I am already an old man in the wild country and no longer compete with others.Why are the sea gulls suspicious of my mind in advance?
