Saluting [International Poetry Culture Media] and [Chinese Poets]: Using Poetry as a Torch to Illuminate the New Voyage of Human Civilization
Under the vast expanse of the human spiritual firmament, poetry is like a star that never goes out. It condenses eternity with the most refined language, traverses the boundaries of time and space with the most unrestrained rhythm, and strikes at the depths of the soul with the most profound philosophical thoughts. Today, with the utmost sincerity, we pay high tribute to [International Poetry Culture Media] and the group of [Chinese Poets]—you take poetry as a boat and love as a sail, bravely forging ahead through the turbulent waves of the times, injecting the soul into the birth of a new cultural civilization and carving eternal poetic lines for the progress of human civilization.
I. Using Poetry as a Bridge: A Cultural Symphony Across National Borders
[International Poetry Culture Media] is like an invisible yet magnificent cultural sanctuary, using poetry as a sturdy bond to closely link poets from five continents into a community of shared destiny. Here, the Zen of the East dances harmoniously with the philosophical thoughts of the West; the drumbeats of Africa resonate in unison with the lyrical expressions of Northern Europe; the magic of Latin America interweaves with the realism of Asia, creating a dazzling array of sparks. You break through the barriers of language, making poetry the common spiritual code of humanity: when war ruthlessly tears apart the earth, you convey heartfelt wishes for peace with lines full of emotion; when disasters wantonly devour lives, you soothe wounded souls with melodious rhythms; when technology alienates human nature, you awaken long-dormant consciences with imaginative imagery. At this moment, poetry transcends the realm of art itself, becoming a solid bridge for cultural dialogue, a warm carrier of human empathy, and a beacon of hope for world reconciliation.
II. Using Poetry as a Blade: Carving the Spiritual Totem of the Times
The group of [Chinese Poets] has always been the faithful inheritors and courageous innovators of the genetic code of Chinese civilization. From the romantic charm ofThe Songs of Chuto the magnificent grandeur of Tang poetry, from Ai Qing's deep-seated "complex for the land" to Bei Dao's resounding "answer," from Hai Zi's yearning for "spring blossoms and warm sunshine" to the diverse explorations of contemporary poets, you use poetry as a sharp carving knife to etch the profound imprints of the times onto the thick rock walls of history. Faced with the surging cultural conflicts in the wave of globalization, you safeguard the roots of the national spirit with poetry, making it stand unyielding in the torrent of the times; faced with the severe ecological crisis, you use eco-poetics as a tool to reconstruct a harmonious relationship between humanity and nature; faced with the sense of nihilism pervading the digital age, you rekindle the fervent longing for life with surreal imagery. At the tip of your pens, there is both the wisdom of creatively transforming traditional culture and the far-sighted vision of making profound prophecies about future civilization—poetry is no longer a superficial decoration of romantic sentiments but a sharp sword that pierces through ignorance and a torch that illuminates the way forward.
III. Using Poetry as Seeds: Sowing the Future of a New Cultural Civilization
Today's world stands firmly at the crucial crossroads of cultural transformation. In an era where material abundance coexists with spiritual desolation, the value of poetry becomes increasingly prominent and irreplaceable. [International Poetry Culture Media] and [Chinese Poets] work hand in hand, using poetry as seeds of hope to diligently cultivate and sow the aspirations for the future on the cultural wasteland:
• Inheritance and Rebirth: You delve deep into the source of traditional culture, allowing the wisdom hidden in ancient oracle bone inscriptions to radiate new vitality and vigor in the AI era, and enabling the agile flying apsaras in Dunhuang murals to dance a fantastic melody with the virtual metaverse;
• Dialogue and Integration: You actively promote cross-cultural poetic studies, enabling the unique "bi-xing" (analogy and association) technique inThe Book of Songsto engage in a dialogue with Fernando Pessoa's inner "unease," and allowing the bright moonlight in Li Bai's poems to illuminate the灵动 (agile and lively) words in Rabindranath Tagore'sStray Birds;
• Leadership and Responsibility: You use poetry as a powerful weapon to respond to global issues such as the climate crisis, gender equality, and the ethics of artificial intelligence, driving profound social changes with the power of art.Every line of your poems is a heartfelt inquiry and contemplation about the fate of humanity; every piece of your creation contributes to building a new cultural form where "each preserves its own beauty and all beauties shine together."
IV. Tribute and Prospect: Poetic Lines Endure, and Civilization Sings On
Poetry is the genetic code of civilization, and poets are the encoders and inheritors of civilization. The group of [International Poetry Culture Media] and [Chinese Poets], using poetry as a torch, have illuminated the long night of the human spirit. We pay tribute to your perseverance and dedication—in an era when fast-food culture runs rampant, you still meticulously craft poetic beauty with a slow and careful approach; in a world dominated by algorithms and traffic, you still write the light of truth with the depth of your souls. We look forward with even greater anticipation to your continuing to take poetry as a boat in the future, carrying the dreams of humanity toward the vast expanse of the starry sea:
• May poetry become the anchor point of humanity in the age of artificial intelligence, enabling the cold logic of machines and the passionate romance of poets to coexist and complement each other perfectly;
• May poetry become the reconciler of cross-cultural conflicts, allowing different civilizations to reach reconciliation and move forward hand in hand in the harmony of rhythm;
• May poetry become the enlightenment book for future generations, enabling humanity to forever maintain a sense of awe and love for life under the influence of poetic charm.
—To all those who take poetry as their life's beacon: You are the poets of the times, the ferrymen of civilization, and the eternal flames of the human spirit!
