On the Publication of Enshi: Soaring for Half a Century

Green hills and clear streams wear a brand-new sight.

On the new journey, monuments proudly stand,

Through reform’s course, brocade glories expand.

Far‑sighted strides heed history’s wise reflection,

State‑reviving plans prize scientific innovation.

We build the broad road to well‑being hand in hand,

Marching toward harmony, step by step we stand.

Brief Introduction to the Writer

Zhang Xiangzhi, male, born in 1956, of Tujia ethnicity, is a native of Xuan'en County, Hubei Province. He holds a college diploma, is a member of the Communist Party of China, and works as a trade economist. He once served as a Member of the Standing Committee of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC Xuan'en County Committee, Deputy Director of Xuan'en County Bureau of Labor and Social Security and concurrently Director of the County Labor Employment Administration Bureau, and Principal Staff Member of Xuan'en County Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, having been promoted to the deputy county-level rank.

He is currently a member of the World Federation of Chinese Artists and Overseas Chinese, the Chinese Poetry Society, the Contemporary Chinese Literature Society, the Chinese Poets Association, the Chinese Couplet Society, the Hubei Chinese Poetry Society, the Hubei Couplet Society, the Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture Poetry and Couplet Society, and the Xuan'en County Poetry and Couplet Society. He has previously served as a director of the Hubei Chinese Poetry Society, the Hubei Couplet Society and the Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture Poetry and Couplet Society, a former member of the Federation of Literary and Art Circles of Xuan'en County, former Vice President and Secretary‑General of the Xuan'en County Poetry and Couplet Society, former Deputy Director of the Editorial Board of the journal Lingyunfeng, former Deputy Editor‑in‑Chief of Lingyunfeng, and former Executive Editor‑in‑Chief of Lingyunfeng.

- In August 2002, he was honored as a World‑Renowned Person by the International Celebrity Exchange Center.

- In 2003, upon the review by the leading Party officials of Enshi Prefecture CPC Committee, he was selected as one of the Centennial Figures of the Qingjiang River.

Over the past decades, Zhang Xiangzhi has created more than 3,000 poems and ci poems, over 600 couplets, more than 20 fu prose poems, and over 20 song lyrics. His professional deeds, as well as his works of poetry, ci, couplets, fu, essays and song lyrics, have been included in over a hundred world‑level, national‑level and local‑level books, newspapers and periodicals.

His major awards and honors include:

- The Seven Outstanding Literature Awards in the 2024 World Chinese Celebrity and Master Cultural Inheritance Literature Competition "Dragon Prestige Supreme Cup" for Welcoming the New Year (March 2024)

- The 7th Great Contribution Award for World Cultural Exchange, the title of World Outstanding Achiever of the Year 2024, and the World Cultural Ambassador Medal (September 2024)

- Silver Award and Excellence Awards in the National Competition "Autumn Sentiment & Kyushu Charm" hosted by Kyushu Literature Society (October 2024)

- Distinguished global artistic honors including the UNESCO Art Master Award, World Art Influence Leader, and Global Art Giant Medal (October 2024)

- The UN Cultural and Art Monument Award (including the UN Art Honor Medal, UN Art Spokesperson, Guardian of the Common Cultural Heritage of Mankind, and Vice Chairman of the UN Cultural and Art Review Committee) (March 2025)

- The title of International Peace Meritorious Artist (April 2025)

- The Lifetime Achievement Award in Art and the title of International Gold‑Medal Artist conferred by the Lifetime Achievement Award Evaluation Committee of the Asian Cultural and Art Exchange Network, along with a professional title certificate of World‑Class Doctor of Art (April 2025)

- Invited to the China‑Europe International Fine Art Exhibition by the China Famous Artists Academy, Beijing Humanistic World Painting and Calligraphy Academy, and China‑Europe Art Exchange Association; awarded the title of China‑Europe Cultural Communication Ambassador with a medal and honorary certificate (April 2025)

- The Forbes International Highest Honor Award in Art (including the title of International Art Leader and Forbes Artist of the Year), and invited to serve as an Honorary Advisor to the Ivy League Alliance of the United States (June 2025)

- The Supreme Gold Award for Global Chinese Art (September 2025)
