Liu Chun, courtesy name Huimingxin, Dharma name Beihe, was born in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. He is a powerful contemporary Chinese artist.
Versatile and accomplished, he excels in painting, calligraphy, literature, design and photography. He works masterfully in both Chinese ink and oil painting, taking the lotus as his core creative theme, while also engaging in abstract painting and mixed-media art.
His works ingeniously blend Eastern Zen artistic conception with Western contemporary artistic expressions. He has established a unique artistic style defined as "Blues Elegance, Depicting Lotus with Soul", forming a distinct personal artistic signature and setting a model of pursuing spiritual enlightenment through art.

刘纯，男，字慧明心，法名悲和，六合斋主人。生于黑龙江省哈尔滨市。大学。设计师，摄影家，美术家，作家。
全国资深新闻工作者证章获得者。中国黑龙江哈尔滨籍当代艺术家，素享“龙江墨荷王”之誉。
在中国多种报刊杂志发表论文20余篇，其中《刘纯画论：水墨之间的超逸与品格——中国画的水与“墨色”》发表在《时代大家》书刊上。有《设计·观念·消费》 《索菲亚的沉默》等4部著作被中国国家图书馆、北京大学图书馆、清华大学图书馆、哈尔滨工业大学图书馆收藏。创意书法《和》入藏国家版本馆，美术作品《蓝彩荷》被巴黎美术学院收藏。

Artist Profile
Liu Chun, courtesy name Huimingxin, Buddhist name Beihe, owner of Liuhezhai Studio. Born in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, with university education. He works as a designer, photographer, fine artist and writer.
He is a recipient of the Medal for Senior National Journalists. A contemporary Chinese artist from Heilongjiang, he is widely hailed as the King of Heilongjiang Ink Lotus Paintings.
He has published over 20 academic papers in various Chinese newspapers and periodicals. His thesis Liu Chun’s Art Theory: Transcendence and Integrity Between Ink and Wash — Water and Ink Tones in Traditional Chinese Painting was featured in Times Great Masters. Four of his monographs including Design, Concept and Consumption and Silence of Sophia are permanently collected by the National Library of China, Peking University Library, Tsinghua University Library and Harbin Institute of Technology Library. His creative calligraphy Harmony is housed in the National Archives of Publications and Culture, and his painting Blue Lotus is collected by the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris .

Liu Chun uses lotus flowers as the core creative symbol, integrating tradition and innovation, and combining with the contemporary artistic context, presenting diverse styles and forms to the world. His brushstrokes embody a dynamic and poetic atmosphere, making art and technology both literate and belonging to himself. His blue ink and watercolor lotus flowers, with surreal beauty, have aroused people's special admiration.
Liu Chun paints lotus flowers, paying tribute to the pure essence. He expresses emotions through brushstrokes, contemplating and understanding, exploring the birth and extinction of lotus flowers, praising their aloofness from the mundane world and their renewed beauty.
