《翠鸟落荷间》

风软塘开碧镜天，

青荷叠叶覆清涟。

幽芳暗逐微波转，

静影轻摇暑气绵。

忽有灵禽临水至，

翠翎一点落荷肩。

红蕖半绽凝香露，

细羽流光映浅烟。

悄立亭々青盖侧，

低眸欲探水中仙。

不鸣不掠身姿俏，

独伴幽塘享晏然。

蝉声漫绕林边树，

云影闲浮水上田。

一帧清景天然画，

满院微凉入素笺。

心随野趣忘尘事，

目逐幽姿醉夏妍。

荷畔栖禽皆入韵，

人间长有此清欢。

Kingfisher Alights Among Lotus

Breezes caress the pool like a blue mirror to the sky, lotus leaves layer thick above ripples soft and shy.

Subtle fragrance drifts along the gentle tide, shadows sway slow,while summer heat doth bide.

Suddenly a winged sprite comes near the stream. A flash of emerald perches on lotus beam.

Half-opened blooms hold dew drops pure and sweet, bright plumes glow soft amid the mist complete. Beside the tall green canopies it stands still, gazing down as if to seek the water's thrill. No chirp,no dart,its graceful form stays neat, basking in peace by the tranquil retreat.

Cicada songs linger round woodland trees, cloud shadows drift o'er watery fields at ease.

This fair scene is a painting nature weaves, cool calm descends upon my scroll and leaves.

My heart unchained from worldly cares and strife, l gaze, enchanted by summer's charming life.

Bird and bloom alike inspire verse's art, such gentle joy shall  ever fill my heart.
