His landscape paintings inherit ancient traditions while pioneering a contemporary aesthetic. Drawing upon the grand momentum of the Song and Yuan dynasties and absorbing the elegant, unrestrained charm of the Ming and Qing dynasties, his brush lines are uncluttered yet powerful, with rich layered ink tones that harmonize void and substance. His color palette centers on light crimson and blue-green landscape hues, exuding timeless refinement and grace. He strikes an exquisite balance between traditional brush spirit and modern visual tension, forging a unique artistic realm blending ancient charm and innovative vision.
His paintings are far more than mere depictions of nature; they embody the painter’s inner character. As the verse goes: “His brush carries the heroic spirit of Song and Yuan, blending all creation into an integrated whole.” Beyond spare, forceful lines lies endless lingering artistic appeal.
