丙午年夏日上午，应邀来到西安市灞桥区狄寨镇张寨村参加陕西省黄楼书画会白鹿崇文尚武书画院授牌仪式，临时凑了几句诗，诵读后得几声鼓掌：

Verses Composed Impromptu at the Plaque Unveiling Ceremony of Bailu Academy of Arts Advocating Civility and Martial Virtue Affiliated to Shaanxi Huanglou Calligraphy and Painting Society

at Zhangzhai Village, Dizhai Town, Baqiao District, Xi’an, on a Summer Morning of the Bingwu Year

黄楼墨韵绕云梁，

白鹿衔芝入画堂。

李氏旷达舞太极，

维民磊落溢书香。

挥毫一泼惊宿鸟，

步踏八卦醉斜阳。

秦川艺苑添新彩，

文武双馨誉四方。

The charm of Huanglou’s brushwork winds round cloud-kissed beams;

White deer bear sacred fungus into this artful hall.

Lord Li, free-spirited, moves through Tai Chi’s gentle streams;

Wei Min, upright and open, fills the air with script’s soft call.

 

One bold splash of ink stirs roosting birds in flight;

Treading Eight Trigrams, we linger till sunset glows.

Qinchuan’s art grove blooms with brand-new radiant light;

Civility and martial grace win praise where the wind blows.
