木桌之上，一本《西迁》静静堆叠在文稿之间，素白封面上，褐墨勾勒出一队跋涉的人影，山路蜿蜒，恰似八十载前国立广西大学师生踏向榕江的漫漫长途。封首一行小字清晰镌刻：献礼广西大学100周年校庆，这薄薄一册书页，承载着一段战火里不曾熄灭的文脉，也藏着一名西大校友八年踏遍桂黔的赤诚。

执笔者覃钢，笔名战神，身为桂林校友会副会长，自始至终以校友身份锚定自己与母校的联结。桌上散落的文件、笔墨，是他无数个伏案梳理史料的日夜；反复叠放的书稿，是他奔走旧址、寻访后人、核对校史留下的印记。一支黑笔静立纸旁，曾写下数万字走访笔录，把1944年泥泞山路、榕江古榕下露天授课的细碎过往，一一收纳进文字。

回望一九四四年，烽烟席卷八桂，校园难安，西大学子与师长背负典籍仪器，辞别故土向西远行。山路崎岖，风雨相伴，没有人轻言放弃，在异乡的会馆、古树下撑起课堂，以一身傲骨守住教育火种。这段颠沛却坚韧的岁月，曾静静封存在校史馆的黑白影像里，少有人完整诉说，直到他踏上寻根之路。

八年光阴，他循着当年西迁的路线往返桂、黔两地，踏过先辈走过的泥泞古道，翻阅档案馆泛黄卷宗，倾听校友后人的口述回忆。旁人不解这份执着，可于他而言，母校如参天古木，1944年西迁是深扎山野的老根，今日遍布各地的校友是舒展四方的枝叶，根脉相连，便不能让这段记忆蒙尘。他以脚步为墨，以史料为笔，将先辈跋涉的苦难与坚守，凝练成《西迁》一书，作为献给母校百年华诞的答卷。

桌角打火机印着“富贵”二字，烟火起落间，是无数深夜伏案撰稿的时光；堆叠的粉色文件袋里，装着校友往来的信函、校史调研记录，一字一句，皆是对母校绵长的牵挂。封面之上，迁徙的人影静默前行，跨越近百年时光，一头连着战火中西迁求生的前辈，一头连着如今守望校史的当代校友。

一百载岁月流转，南宁的校园楼宇崭新明亮，可西迁途中淬炼出的风骨从未消散。当年先辈以肉身护文脉，如今后辈以笔墨续传承。这本《西迁》，不只是一本纪实书稿，更是一片落叶归根的心意。作为万千西大学子中的一叶，覃钢以文字为媒介，打通1944与2028的时空，让西迁精神穿过风雨，落在母校百年校庆的时光里，让每一位西大人读懂：无论走多远，我们的根，永远系在广西大学这片土地。

纸页虽轻，山河厚重；文脉不息，根叶同心。西迁的故事藏在书中，西大人的归心藏在字里行间，岁岁年年，生生不息。
