Yang Zhiwei, male, born in 1955, pen name Chuanqu, a renowned Chinese calligrapher. Native to Jiangchuan, Yunnan Province, he holds a postgraduate degree.

2013: His works were included in Yearbook of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy.
2014: Enlisted in Anthology of Ancient and Modern Literary and Art Works and Chronicle of New Chinese Fine Arts.
2015: To mark the 70th Anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the 95th Anniversary of the Communist Party of China, six batches of his works were collected and issued in China Official Stamp Albums successively.

2017: Selected for Asian News Figures and Selected Works of Chinese Fine Arts.
2018: Included in Forty Artists for Forty Years of Reform and Opening-up. In the same year, he won the Gold Award for Calligraphy at the Wuzhen Cultural Expo in Zhejiang Province.
2019: His profile was compiled into Seventy Masters for Seventy Years of New China and Dictionary of World Fine Artists.
2020: Claimed the Gold Award at the National Chinese Painting & Calligraphy Exhibition "Chinese Ink Rhythm". He was honored as one of the "Six Distinguished Figures Touching China", featured in Illustrated Handbook of New Chinese Fine Arts, and titled "Chinese Contemporary Master Painter & Calligrapher with the Greatest Investment and Collection Value".

Early 2021: Enrolled in Chinese Arts Write Magnificent Chapters and One Hundred Celebrated Artists for a Century of Glory. In September of the same year, China Federation of Literary and Art Circles conferred upon him the title "Art Inheritance Figure".
2022: His artworks were collected in Famous Masters in Prosperous China.
2023: Compiled into General History of Chinese Fine Arts. His calligraphy works were recommended by CCTV Variety Channel as tribute artworks for the National Two Sessions. China Federation of Literary and Art Circles awarded him the "Lifetime Achievement Award in Chinese Painting and Calligraphy". In October of the same year, his works were published on the official website of Xuexi Qiangguo (Study Power Platform).
2024: Recorded in Encyclopedia of Distinguished Citizens of the Republic and People’s Artists. His clerical calligraphy work To the Tune of Spring in a Pleasure Garden · Snow was collected by the National Museum of China. Another piece To the Tune of Charm of a Maiden Singer · Reflections on the Ancient Red Cliff won the Most Collectible Value Award issued by the China Painting and Calligraphy Art Guidance Committee.

July 2025: His profile was featured in Issue 13 of Readers Magazine. September 2025: Included on the official website of China Talents Magazine.
