Zhu Shiqin—Oriental Aesthetics, Global Resonance: Exemplary Figure in Cultural Globalization

Zhu Shiqin, also known as Shiqin, graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA). She later pursued postgraduate studies at the Mural Painting Department of CAFA and further advanced her academic training in the Master’s Program of CAFA’s Oil Painting Department. She holds an Honorary Doctorate from the College of Arts & Design, University of Colorado, USA.

Her academic and professional titles include: Member of the American Society of Portrait Artists; Honorary Professor at the University of Oxford, UK; Honorary Professor at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze, Italy; Doctoral Supervisor at Northwest University, Thailand; Executive Vice Chairperson of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Committee for Chinese Calligraphy and Painting.

She is also a member of the Beijing Oil Painting Society (China), the American Watercolor Society, the China-Russia Artists Association, and the Royal Society of British Artists. Additionally, she serves as Vice President of the China International Wang Xizhi Calligraphy & Painting Research Institute, Resident Painter of China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration, Curator of the China Artists Art Museum, former Art Editor of Beijing Review (a state-run foreign affairs journal), Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Artists Magazine, and Member of the Chinese Orators Association.

In 2023, she was appointed Curator of the Picasso Museum in Spain and Dean of the Barcelona Academy of Fine Arts, and worked as a Visiting Scholar at Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia. She holds the highest Grade 10 certification as a National Master of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Chinese Calligraphy and Painting awarded by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China. The President of the Spanish Artists Association personally signed and presented her with a certificate and trophy for the Outstanding Mentor Award.

Publications & Auction Achievements

A collection of Zhu Shiqin’s artworks has been published by Tianjin People’s Fine Arts Publishing House. Her creations have also been featured in publications including Chinese Artists Magazine, China Report, Beijing Review Weekly, and Art Collection Magazine.

Her traditional Chinese painting Thousands Miles of Soaring Flight fetched over 300,000 NTD at a Taiwan auction;

Her oil painting Colorful Chinese Roses was sold at a Hong Kong auction for 5 million HKD and collected by a private institution.

Proceeds from a portion of her artwork sales have been donated to Hope Schools and charitable organizations. In 2024, her oil painting Irises was selected for the Sino-French Olympic Calligraphy & Painting Exhibition held in Paris, France. She was named Sino-French Cultural Ambassador by the Sino-French Cultural and Art Center.

1995年油画作品《侧面》由中央美院收藏，有证书，2016年油画《香港海洋公园之花》预选法国巴黎第159届卢浮宫国际艺术沙龙展并获奖，2023年油画《艺术之光》入选法国艺术基金会国际艺术大赛并获奖，2024在法国第33届奥运会文化交流艺术展油画《鸢尾花》荣获金奖；2024丙烯油画《国色天香》在美国第二届世界艺术大赛入选并获奖，至今诗琴已在国际艺术大赛荣获三十多个奖项，在国内艺术大展荣获十几个奖项。有很多作品被人民日报，袭古创今栏目，新华网，中国网，艺术中国等媒体采访报道，诗琴二百多幅作品由国家机构，企业家，美术馆及私人收藏，2024年油画,《鸟语花香》由意大利佛罗伦萨美术学院收藏并颁发证书，2025油画《荷花古碗》由英国牛津大学收藏，有证书；2025国画《荷荷美美》由法国巴黎美术学院收藏，有证书。中华人民共和国建国70周年，朱世琴有35幅作品由中国邮政局出版邮册，全国共入选七位画家，其中有靳尚谊，詹建俊，常沙娜，全山石，朱世琴，乔十光，刘文西。

朱世琴有作品由天津人民美术出版社出版，还有作品发表在《中国艺术家》杂志，中国报道杂志，北京周报周刊，艺术收藏杂志等。油画《富贵无极》曾在英国拍卖二十多万欧元，国画《飞跃千里》曾在台湾拍卖三十多万，油画《五彩月季》曾在香港拍卖五百万成交被收藏，有部分善款捐献希望学校和慈善机构，2024油画《鸢尾花》应邀参加中法奥运会书画展在法国巴黎举办。并被中法文化艺术中心评为中法形象大使。
