炎炎盛夏，暑托有爱，文化润童心。7月23日上午10:10—11:00，在苏州市吴江区江陵街道运东大道1699号淞山社区党群服务中心内，一场别开生面的苏州园林太湖石双语鉴赏公益课堂顺利开课。本次活动由苏州艺菲逸彩文化传媒有限公司主办，淞山社区新时代文明实践站、社区团支部、社区关工委联合承办，我是本次主讲老师刘荣群，以第一人称视角，为辖区一众身着“淞小山成长计划”橙色志愿马甲的小学生，带来一堂兼具趣味性、知识性、双语特色的传统文化研学课，把千年江南赏石文化搬进家门口的社区课堂。
In the hot summer days, public welfare summer classes bring warmth and traditional culture to children. From 10:10 to 11:00 on July 23, a distinctive bilingual public welfare lecture on Taihu Stone appreciation of Suzhou classical gardens was successfully held in the Party-mass Service Center of Songshan Community, No.1699 Yundong Avenue, Jiangling Subdistrict, Wujiang District, Suzhou. Sponsored by Suzhou Yifei Yicai Culture Media Co., Ltd., and co-organized by the New Era Civilization Practice Station, League Branch and Working Committee for Care of the Next Generation of Songshan Community, the activity was delivered by me, lecturer Liu Rongqun. I gave a traditional culture research lesson with fun, professional knowledge and bilingual features for local primary students wearing orange volunteer vests of "Songshan Kids Growth Plan", bringing thousand-year-old Jiangnan stone-appreciating culture into community classrooms right beside residents’ homes.
淞山社区党群服务中心的多功能教室内窗明几净、座无虚席，孩子们早早端坐就位，满心期待揭开太湖奇石的神秘面纱。本次课程属于社区“趣学乐成长，童享好暑光”系列暑期公益研学重点课程，我全程采用中文主讲+专业名词英文同步注解的教学模式，摒弃生硬的书本理论，通过趣味历史典故、拟人化通俗讲解、多轮课堂互动闯关三大形式，层层拆解太湖石“瘦、皱、漏、透”四大古典赏石美学密码。
The bright and tidy multi-functional classroom of Songshan Community Party-mass Service Center was fully occupied. All children sat down early, eager to uncover the mysteries of Taihu exotic stones. As a key lesson of the community’s summer public welfare research series themed "Fun Learning & Happy Growth, Enjoy a Wonderful Summer Vacation", the lecture adopted a bilingual teaching method with Chinese as primary language and English annotations for professional terms. Instead of rigid textbook theories, I interpreted the four major ancient aesthetic standards for Taihu stone appreciation through interesting historical stories, vivid anthropomorphic explanations and multiple rounds of interactive games.
课堂开篇，我以北宋书法大家米芾拜石的趣味轶事切入。北宋名士米芾酷爱太湖石，每逢遇见造型奇绝的奇石，便身着正装躬身行礼，尊称石头为“石兄”。借着这个生动小故事，我向孩子们讲明，千百年来，太湖石一直是江南文人雅士情有独钟的园林瑰宝，拥有极高的人文与艺术价值。
At the beginning of the lesson, I shared the famous story of Mi Fu, a great Northern Song calligrapher who worshipped strange stones. Mi Fu was extremely fond of Taihu stones; whenever he found uniquely shaped exotic stones, he would dress formally, bow respectfully and call the stones "Brother Stone". With this lively story, I explained to students that Taihu stones have long been treasured garden gems beloved by Jiangnan literati, with profound humanistic and artistic value.
随后，我系统细致讲解中式古典赏石四大核心标准，搭配规范英文译释，用生活化类比帮助孩子轻松理解：
After that, I elaborated systematically on four core ancient stone-appreciating standards with standard English translations, and used daily comparisons for kids to easily grasp the knowledge:
瘦（Slender）：石体修长挺拔，身姿如芭蕾舞者清雅飘逸，苏州留园镇园之宝冠云峰高达6.5米，是“瘦”之美的绝佳范本。
Slender means tall and upright stone shape with elegant grace, just like a graceful ballet dancer. Guanyun Peak in Suzhou Lingering Garden, which is 6.5 meters high and the treasure of the whole garden, perfectly embodies this aesthetic feature.
皱（Wrinkled）：历经亿万年风雨侵蚀，石头表面形成深浅交错的天然纹路，如同老人脸上的皱纹，每一道肌理都镌刻着时光流逝的故事，是大自然赋予石头的岁月年轮。
Wrinkled refers to natural uneven textures formed by millions of years of wind and rain weathering, similar to wrinkles on the faces of the elderly. Every texture records stories of time, acting as natural annual rings carved on stones by nature.
漏（Hollow）：石头竖向孔洞上下贯通，雨水能够顺着孔洞流淌，清风穿过孔隙会发出清脆悦耳的声响，坚硬的石头仿佛拥有了呼吸与鲜活生命力。
Hollow stands for vertically interconnected cavities inside stones. Rainwater can flow through these holes smoothly, and clear sounds will be produced when wind blows through gaps, making rigid stones vivid and lively.
透（Permeable）：石材横向孔洞互相通透，阳光穿过孔隙洒落，在地面形成层层斑驳光影，宛若天然迷宫，苏州第十中学内的瑞云峰，是“透”的经典代表。
Permeable means horizontal through holes in stones. Sunlight streams through the cavities and casts mottled layered light and shadow just like a natural maze. Ruiyun Peak located in Suzhou No.10 High School is the classic representative of this standard.
为充分调动少年课堂积极性，我设计三轮趣味互动比拼：石头模特创意展示大赛、太湖石脑洞起名大赛、形容词大比拼。现场孩子们踊跃举手、争先恐后发言，天马行空地给自己喜爱的奇石起可爱名字，用丰富词汇描绘石头外形、触感与气质，整个课堂欢声笑语，氛围热烈浓厚。
To fully motivate students, I set up three rounds of fun interactive competitions: Stone Model Show, Creative Naming Contest for Taihu Stones, and Adjective Brainstorm Game. All children raised hands actively and competed to speak. They created imaginative lovely names for stones and described their appearance, touch and temperament with abundant words, filling the whole classroom with laughter and enthusiasm.
结合大暑传统节气文化，我延伸科普古人消暑生活智慧：在没有空调的古代江南，人们利用太湖石堆砌假山石洞避暑，分为石洞纳凉、听雨漏凉、光影透凉三种消暑方式，依托园林奇石布局实现天然降温，让孩子们领悟古人顺应自然、师法自然的生活哲学。
Combined with traditional culture of Major Heat solar term, I popularized the ancient wisdom of summer heat avoidance. In ancient Jiangnan without air conditioners, residents built rock caves with Taihu stones for cooling in three ways: enjoying coolness inside stone caves, listening to raindrops dripping through holes, and feeling cool breeze with permeable light. Kids learned the ancient philosophy of living in harmony with nature.
课程临近结束，我布置了生活化课后实践作业：鼓励孩子们在家周边小区花园、河滩沙地里寻找一块属于自己的“专属宝贝石头”，认真观察石头纹理样貌，为它取名、手绘外形，下次社区课堂上分享属于自己的小石头故事，让古典赏石文化走出教室，融入日常游玩生活。
At the end of the class, I assigned practical after-school tasks: children were encouraged to find their own "treasure stones" in community gardens or river beaches near their homes, observe stone textures carefully, name and draw the stones, and share their stone stories in the next community class, extending traditional stone-appreciating culture from classroom to daily life.
本次双语公益研学课程，由苏州艺菲逸彩文化传媒全程策划落地，依托淞山社区15分钟便民生活圈新时代文明实践阵地，把苏州园林非遗赏石文化送到居民家门口。不少孩子认真做好课堂笔记，主动抢答互动问题，在轻松玩乐中吃透古典美学知识，既锻炼了双语口语表达能力，也在心底埋下传承江南传统文化的种子。
The whole bilingual public welfare research course was fully planned and implemented by Suzhou Yifei Yicai Culture Media Co., Ltd. Depending on the New Era Civilization Practice Station within Songshan Community’s 15-minute convenient living circle, we brought intangible cultural heritage stone-appreciating culture of Suzhou gardens to residents’ doorsteps. Many students took detailed notes and volunteered to answer questions. They learned classical aesthetic knowledge happily, improved their bilingual oral skills, and cultivated awareness of inheriting Jiangnan traditional culture.
如今，淞山社区翡翠河滨雅院片区已经搭建起全链条青少年暑期公益成长体系，除传统文化研学课堂外，还配备文体活动室、老年人日间照料中心、邻里议事角等多元空间，覆盖少儿暑托研学、老年休闲文娱、全年龄段便民服务，是吴江运东板块产城融合、基层精细化治理实实在在的生动写照。
At present, Emerald Riverside Courtyard area of Songshan Community has built a complete summer public welfare growth system for teenagers. Besides traditional culture courses, the community is equipped with cultural and sports rooms, elderly day care centers, neighborhood discussion corners and other diversified spaces, covering summer tutoring for kids, leisure activities for seniors and all-age public services. It is a vivid example of industrial-residential integration and refined grassroots governance in Yundong Area, Wujiang.
