ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Pang Jin is a writer and an expert in loong and phoenix culture. He serves as President of the International Federation of Loong and Phoenix Culture, Honorary President of the Chinese Loong Culture Association, Director of the Chinese Loong and Phoenix Culture Research Center, and Senior Editor at Xi’an Daily.
He is a member of the China Writers Association, a council member of the Shaanxi Writers Association, Vice President of the Canadian Chinese Writers Association, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Western Ontario Press, Canada.
Pang Jin studied at Shaanxi Normal University and Northwest University, earning a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a master’s degree in literature. Since the 1970s, he has devoted himself to literary writing and cultural research. To date, he has published more than ten million Chinese characters of work and over fifty books, including On Creation, Chinese Loong Culture (Volumes I, II and III), Chinese Phoenix Culture, Auspicious Symbols of China, Chinese Loong Studies, and The Collected Works of Pang Jin.
He has received more than eighty honours and awards, including the inaugural Bing Xin Prose Award, the inaugural Shaanxi Shanhua Award for Folk Literature and Art, and First Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Social Sciences in Xi’an. He has also been honoured as one of the “Ten Outstanding Contemporary Figures in Loong Culture.”
