Ling Chi in the Lost Desert
(Chinese New Romance)
A paradise of paradise
There was a lush water all over the sky.
The wind and the moon have no boundaries.
The snow peak smiles and clouds are idle.
The ancient village of Fairy Valley is ancient,
It's a lot like Gangnam.
I got up in the morning and looked at the smoke.
The wild birds danced.
Spread the prayer flags on the mountainside and on the riverbank.
The hundred thousand peach blossoms are very red,
Spring is like Zen.

Comments:
I. A brief description of signs and rhymes
The Sand Rush Order is a two-tone small order, commonly in the form of five sentences and four flat rhymes each in the upper and lower sections. Li Yu's "Rain Outside the Curtain" is one of the classics. This word is derived from the new Chinese rhyme of "eight cold." The rhyme footnotes are:
Previous film: Sky, Beyond, Sitting, South
Next installment: smoke, dancing, twang, meditation
"Sun, brink, idle, south, smoke, twang, and zen" in the new rhyme also belongs to the "eight-chill" rhyme of Ping Shui, which reads long and stretched, and matches the brightness and remoteness of Linzhi's spring scene. The whole word is flat and steady, and the rhythm is harmonious, and it does not lose the elegance of the word because it writes about the wonders of the hidden land.
II. Parsing sentence by sentence
Previous film: Great places draw ink, always writing about the beauty of the landscapes of Linzhi
"There is a dense water all over the sky."
The first sentence takes a broad perspective. The word "lush" describes the lush and green nature of Linzhi's original forest. Linzhi is located in southeast Tibet, affected by the warm humidity flow of the Indian Ocean, and is rich in vegetation, with spruce, fir, alpine oak, and so on forming a forest sea. The word "sen" means the deepness of the trees, but also implies a deep climate. The word "lush" emphasizes its lush, rich and full of life.
"The water connects the sky" means that the rivers meet the sky. In Linzhi, water systems such as the Yarussalam River, the Niyang River, and the Parangsal River are wide-ranging, and when the water surface is open, the sky is alike. This sentence compresses the forest, the water, and the long space into a single picture, and at the beginning of the writing, there is a sense of sky high and vast, and sets a clear and clear tone for the whole word.
"The wind and the moon have no boundaries."
"The wind moon" is here for the beauty of nature, not for the charm of children. The word "boundless" is applied to the phrase "boundless wind and moon," which means that the beauty is endless and endless. This sentence is written in general terms, taking the specific sights of the first sentence, and pushing the aesthetic feeling of the landscape of Linzhi to infinity. This corresponds with the expansion of space "between water and sky," which further opens the realm.
"The snow peaks smile and the clouds are idle."
The sentence moves to a high view, and the tone of the pen moves with it. "Snow Peaks" refers to snow mountains in Linz such as Mount Kabwa. N'Djamena is full of snow and clouds all year round, and it's rare to see the real face of it. The writer uses the word "laughing," in a poetic way to write about the snow peak showing its face and tender and loving side in the sunny spring light. The snowy city is a cold thing, but here there is no coldness, but there is warmth and craftsmanship.
The three words "colored clouds idle" continue to write about clouds in a poetic manner. The colorful clouds floated in a relaxed manner, and the word "idle" not only describes the soothing state of the cloud, but also reflects the serenity of the observer's mind. The "smiling" of the snow peak and the "idle" of the colorful clouds, both still and moving, both high and far, constitute a harmonious long-distance picture.
"The Fairy Valley is a ghostly village."
The camera turned from high to deep valley. The "Fairy Valley" compares the Linzhi Valley to a fairyland, stressing its depth and lack of dust. "Swooping" uses folded words to reinforce the sense of deep silence, while slowing the rhythm and lowering the rhyme.
"The village ancient" shows the human landscape. The Linzhi region has been inhabited for generations by ethnic groups such as Uyghur Tibetans, Menba people, and Luoba people. Many villages are built alongside the mountains and the water, retaining their ancient appearance. There are ancient villages in the Fairy Valley, where nature and humanities mingle, and they do not appear lonely, but give off a sense of "a foreign paradise."
"It's more like Gangnam."
The last sentence concluded with a discussion and expressed the opinions of the people. Lin Zhi is often called "the Jiangnan of Xizang," but the scribe believes that its beauty is "more like the Jiangnan." This judgment is not a lie: although Jiangnan has smoke willows painting bridges and apricot blossoms raining in spring, it does not have the holiness of snow peaks, the deepness of canyons, or the mystery of prayer flags. Linzhi has the beauty of the Jiangnan and the magnificence of the plateau, so the word "superior" is both an emotional expression and an elaboration of Linzhi's unique aesthetic value.
Next film: Taking a closer look at sunrise, from landscape to meditation
"Get up in the morning to see the smoke."
The next film takes in time to turn the perspective to early morning. A "morning rise" explains the specific time of the viewing and also reflects a relaxed mood."岚烟" refers to the morning fog in the mountains, like a veil of smoke that surrounds the valleys.Include the word "look" to show that the viewer is looking at it in a relaxed way and playing with his mind. The dimness of the smoke contrasts with the cleanliness of the above film, adding to the level and depth of the picture.
"Wild birds dance."
This sentence writes about the scene. Wild birds dance briskly in the morning light, taking a light and beautiful pose. The word "dancing" not only mimics the way birds fly, but also brings out the interest of free and unfettered life.Contrasted with the quiet of "岚烟," the sounds created a symbiosis that made the picture alive.
"Turn a prayer token on the hillside by the river."
This sentence illustrates the characteristics of Tibetan areas. The prayer flags are an important symbol of Tibetan Buddhism. The five colors of blue, white, red, green and yellow symbolize heaven, cloud, fire, water and earth. They are suspended on the banks of mountains and rivers and at the head of bridges. When the wind blows the flags, it is considered to be chanting and praying.
The word "motion" is extremely expressive, and is not only a visual movement, but also the existence of a wind, but also a flow of faith. The appearance of the prayer flags quietly transitioned the whole word from the natural aesthetic level to the religious spiritual level, setting the stage for the end word, "Zen." Mountains, rivers and prayer flags are placed side by side, where nature and faith meet.
"A hundred thousand peach blossoms are very red."
The peach blossoms in Linz are an iconic spring landscape in Tibet. Every year in March and April, the wild peach trees stretch into a landscape along the banks of the Yarussalam River and the Niyang River, which is spectacular. The word "hundred leagues" is used to describe its great size, and "red and bright" is used for its thick color.
"Red and bright" is a colloquial word with strong colors and a folk song flavor. In a secluded green, white and blue, the redness of the peach blossom became the visual focus and pushed the whole word mood to the climax. At the same time, the brightness of the peach blossoms and the seriousness of the flower bouquet form tension, providing contrasting conditions for the birth of the next sentence of "Zen."
"Spring feels like Zen."
The end is the eye of the whole word and is also the place of sublimation. Spring is inherently vibrant and rich in color, while Zen is empty and silent and transcends the appearance of name. The phraser ultimately attributed the intense spring color of "the hundreds of thousands of peach blossoms" to the experience of "like Zen," forming a unique aesthetic tension.
This is not to deny the flourishing of spring, but to observe the spring with a Zen mind: the peach blossoms are abundant and do not interfere with the clarity of the heart. All things thrive and see nature as it is. As the Chinese saying goes, "The color is not the same as the empty space, the empty is not the color." Spring in Linzhi is very beautiful, but not restless. Beautiful, but still. This feeling is the deep meaning of "Spring is Zen."
The confinement of four words, the short meaning of words, makes the whole word go from the depiction of the external landscape to the realization of the inner heart.
III. Comprehensive appreciation
(1) Image Groups and Geographical Writing
The word has a distinct geographical character in the choice of imagery in Linzhi. The sea of lush forests, snowy peaks, fairy valleys, ancient villages, smoke, prayer flags, and peach blossoms - each image bears the geographical and human imprint of southeast Tibet. In particular, the "jing jing" and the "snow peak" are the key symbols that distinguish Linzhi from the ordinary Spring landscape of Jiangnan.
The translator did not dwell on the label of "Xizang's Jiangnan," but used specific image groups to construct Linzhi's unique aesthetic space: both the gentle beauty of the Jiangnan style and the holiness and serenity characteristic of the plateau. This geographical writing gives wordplay a sense of identity and authenticity.
(ii) Chapmanship and context generation
The whole word is written in a strict manner. In the first film, "the whole" is "the whole"; in the second, "the situation" is "reason."
The first sentence of the last film begins with a large scene, the second sentence is a false summary, and three or four sentence specifically describes snow peaks, colored clouds, fairy valleys, and villages. The conclusion of the film is a general comment "More like Jiangnan." The next section is introduced with "morning rise," which is spread by layer by layer by smoke, wild birds, prayer flags, and peach blossoms. Finally, it is surrounded by "Spring as Zen," which involves the scenery and the water.
In terms of context, the upper part is more serene and grand, the lower part is more spiritual and beautiful, and eventually comes to a spiritual meditation. The whole is advanced at a level from far and near, from static to moving, from matter to the heart.
(3) Rhetoric and language features
A variety of rhetorical techniques were used in the words. Expressions such as "snow peaks with laughter" and "colored clouds idle" give nature a human face. Its uses are as follows: "The wind and moon have no boundaries," and its usage is without trace. Cascading characters such as "sour" and "red" enhance the beauty of sounds and the sense of image. The contrast is the whiteness of snow mountains and the redness of peach blossoms, the quietness of the smoke and the movement of wild birds, the ancientness of the village and the newness of spring, making the picture rich and not dull.
In the language style, there is both the refined implicitity of traditional words and the proper integration of oral expressions, such as "red and bright," so that the whole word is not lost in elegance and approaches the aesthetic feeling of modern readers.
(4) Cultural heritage and the sublimation of Zen
The "mantra" is the cultural symbol of Tibetan Buddhism, and "Zen" is an important concept of Han Chinese Buddhism. The phraser combined the two in the same word, reflecting the multifaceted nature of Chinese culture. The natural scenery of Linzhi inspires both aesthetic pleasure and spiritual appreciation.
The conclusion of "Spring feels like Zen," elevates the whole word from a general landscape word to a level of spiritual experience. It is not simply reasoning, but by immersing the reader in the spring colors of Linzhi, it allows the reader to feel a serenity that transcends the chaos. This serenity comes not only from the vastness and holiness of the plateau, but also from the clarity and observation of the word's heart.
epilogue
Written in traditional letters and cards, Ling Zi writes the spring colors of the Tibetan region, which not only accurately captures the nature and humanities of Ling Zi, but also uniquely refines the spiritual realm of "Spring as Zen." The whole word is written in a rigorous manner, rich in imagery, fresh in language, and contains deep philosophy in a clear and breezy style. It is not a simple copy of the Spring Festival scenery of Jiangnan, but rather a description of Linzhi's irreplaceable spiritual beauty. It is one of the best landscape words of our time.

A passing inspiration
Wei Yuanlong
On a moon night, flowers bite your heart
You don't bother to get up either.
Destroy your water pen.
The past dragged thoughts away.
And hobbled away
A street encounter where a look burns your face
You didn't smile casually.
Your shadow is a clear wind
There was such a sorrow in that person's heart as a stream of water
In a dream, someone kissed your lips
You didn't open your arms
A Lover Whispers
You don't want to open it up
That secret.
One day,
You suddenly feel very lonely
I wanted to talk to the sea
So you went to the river.
Rivers
It's the tentacles of the sea.
