They soothe my lonely heart, behold.
Why bother the north 'n' south to part?
We all chant Yuan Qu’s “Ode” in heart.
Note: The last line alludes to Ode to the Tangerine from Nine Cantos by Yuan Qu (340–278 B.C.), where the poet praises the tangerine tree as King of trees, of the best (tr. ZHAO Yanchun)，extolling its loyal character.
