How far we roam through misty roads unknown,
The moon-bearing bird o'er the roc's cry has flown.
Suddenly crane words pierce the clouds and ring,
Then scatter into jade flutes through mountains sing.
——
Combien de chemins brumeux parcourons-nous,
L'oiseau portant la lune a fui le cri du rouc.
Soudain les mots de grue percent les nuages et sonnent,
Puis se dispersent en flûtes de jade qui chantent les cimes.

Cuán lejos vagamos por brumosos caminos,
El ave que lleva la luna huyó de los trinos.
De pronto palabras de grulla las nubes atraviesan,
Y en flautas de jade por montañas se dispersan.

Gazing up, the River of Stars hangs through all ages past;
Bowing down, the law of conscience in my heart will last.
If the world should ask what justice truly means to man,
One inch of conscience is the heaven's plan.
