On September 14, the Education and Sports Bureau of Qishan County convened a special deployment meeting for the education system to implement the guiding principles of the county-wide education work conference. Present at the meeting were Party branch secretaries and education specialists of the Party general branches for education under each town cluster, Party organization principals and campus heads of primary and secondary schools as well as kindergartens, together with Party branch secretaries and principal persons-in-charge of institutions directly under the Bureau.

During the meeting, participants studied the important expositions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on education. The guiding principles of the county-wide education work conference were conveyed, and tasks for the education system to implement relevant arrangements were assigned.

The meeting emphasized that cadres and staff of the county’s education and sports system should take the study and implementation of the guiding principles of the county-wide education work conference as the primary political task and key work for the present and the coming period. They need to fully understand the strategic arrangements of the county Party committee and county government to prioritize education development and empower county-level growth, and accurately grasp the core tenets, practical requirements and work orientation of the speeches and work arrangements delivered by leading officials of the county Party committee and county government.

Su Xuyang, Party Secretary and Director of the Bureau, required all personnel of the system to take the following measures. First, unify thinking and raise political awareness to fully grasp the new situation and requirements for educational development. Second, focus on priority areas and take targeted measures to fully deliver new tasks for high-quality educational development. The whole education system shall closely follow the arrangements of the meeting and the requirements set out in the speech by the principal leading official of the county Party committee. Centering on four priorities — consolidating the foundation of ideological and political education, improving the all-region education and school-running system, upgrading the quality of education and nurturing, and fostering a professional teaching workforce — the system shall refine work measures, consolidate work responsibilities, and ensure all arrangements are carried out in a detailed manner and yield tangible results. Third, consolidate responsibilities and pursue rigorous implementation to guarantee the delivery of all work items.
